BiblioWeb and Internet
Posting a Researcher's Bibliographic Database
If you are a researcher and want to post your bibliographic database on the web, BiblioWeb is the right tool!
With BiblioWeb, you can give web users "Read" or "Write" accounts. People with a "Read" account can only
search and browse the database. For trusted users, or your colleagues, etc., you can assign a "Write" status
to their account. Users with a "Write" account can add, edit, and import as well as delete records. BiblioWeb
can also be configured to allow only a user who created the record to edit or delete it. That way, you wouldn't have to worry about one user deleting records created by another user.
Powering an Online Journal
In the age of the Internet, anyone can be a publisher. If you want to publish your own journal, BiblioWeb can do
the job! You don't have to envy the big name publishers! BiblioWeb provides the most advanced features
specifically designed for the bibliographic system at a very low cost. Bibliographic records can be organized
into folders issue by issue. Search results are displayed in a table with search words highlighted. The web user
can mark records and export them later or display marked records in a selected style. You can also link
records to a full text article. If you want to charge users for access, BiblioWeb keeps an access log recording every request made by users.
