What is BiblioWeb?
BiblioWeb is a web server application that is specifically designed for the Biblioscape database. With
BiblioWeb, all the basic features of Biblioscape are made available through your web browser. Therefore, web
users can search, browse, add, edit, delete and import bibliographic records. User can even format a document
based on a selected style through the web. The BiblioWeb administrator has full control over who can add, edit,
or delete records by assigning Read, Write, and Admin privileges to each user. BiblioWeb can support hundreds of users at the same time.
Why Use BiblioWeb?
BiblioWeb is an ideal solution for both Intranet and Internet environment. For Intranet use, it enables the whole
organization to share a single bibliographic database with a minimum maintenance effort. The administrator
only needs to install one copy on the server machine; all users will be able to access the application through a
web browser. For Internet use, BiblioWeb provides an out-of-box solution that is more powerful than most
custom designed software. The rich set of features, customizability, plus a one step installation make
publishing the bibliographic database on the web an easy task for even the most novice users. The integration
of web server and database functions into a single application also makes BiblioWeb achieve a very high

How Is BiblioWeb Licensed?
BiblioWeb is installed as part of Biblioscape. An owner of the Biblioscape Professional and Librarian editions
can use BiblioWeb on a small scale. If more users need to be supported, additional licenses have to be
purchased. BiblioWeb is licensed in three ways: the number of user accounts, the number of hits, or the number of concurrent users.
